Welcome to the Abstract Arcs website. My name is Paul Hoskin and I am an ornamental metalworker from Cornwall. There are two main areas in which I work, the more traditional gates, railings etc and art/craft work made mainly from steel and copper. This includes items such as candleholders, clocks and mirrors.

Due to the long overdue sorting of my workspace and some outstanding orders I currently have little time to do more than throw up a few examples. Hopefully you will get some kind of idea of the direction my work goes in and I shall gradually add more pictures as time allows.

I like the idea that everyday items that have come to the end of their ‘useful’ life and have been scrapped can be transformed into a desirable form. If that form can also hide the furious activity needed in its creation then even better.
